Reunion association for modernising the fruit, vegetable and horticultural sectors

ARMEFLHOR, an agricultural technical institute carry out research work, as
well as modernising or diversifying plant production sectors (except sugar
cane). ARMEFLHOR has been granted the Agricultural Technical Institute
(ITA) certification on the 8th February 2018 following a decree by the Ministry
of Agriculture and Food.

Research domains
The association seeks to :
- Conduct experiments to find solutions to the technical, economic and
  human challenges linked to development and progress in Reunion’s fruit,
  vegetable and horticultural sector
- Produce basic, healthy plant material (young plants and seeds)
- Provide expert guidance in the production of fruit, vegetables and horticultural products in tropical conditions
- Transfer and share findings and solutions
- Provide vocational training for farmers, agricultural workers and technicians
- Coordinate research, development and transfer body activities (RITA
  horticultural network coordination)
- Develop regional, national and international cooperation
