The Biotechnology Centre of Azores (CBA) mission is to foster fundamental and applied scientific research to develop new knowledge and technological innovation, creating opportunities and having impact on the economic growth by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and competitiveness in the agrarian, environmental and bioindustrial sectors. Biotechnology due to its multidisciplinary character is a technological key to achieve these aims.
