Reunion University Hospital

The university hospital mission is in line with regional public health priorities and since 2013 organised research activities on the territory’s health based on three main topics featured below. These areas of clinical research all reflect the geographical, demographic, sociological and transitional specific characteristics of the Indian Ocean region.
Following five years of existence, Reunion University Hospital has a solid assessment in terms of research findings, with ambitious goals. This success is due to the collaboration of all stakeholders as well as
researchers, medical teams, technical support, management and external partners) working closely together.
A coherent policy has been introduced to develop the hospital’s clinical research.

To this end, the research teams carry out the following activities

  • Assistance to develop research, the implementation of internal promotion’s rules and support to analysts (organisation, administration, management, control, technical and regulatory support for clinical trials).
  • Support for researchers on the qualitative and methodological aspects of projects, including data management, biostatistics (guidance to draft scientific texts, designing clinical trials and database  management).
