Missions
CITEB supports the development of the blue economy field in La Réunion,
in strong coordination with academic, economic and public stakeholders,
through :

• the design and promotion of aquaculture and aquaponic systems
• the development of biotechnology projects from micro-algae (phytobank,
  detection of active compound, support to private stakeholders)
• the support to local fishing activities through R&D programmes,
  expertises, trainings, advisory services
• knowledge development on the conservation and valorisation of aquatic
  habitats (R&D projects, expertise, technical support)
• the analysis of biotoxins and sea water quality
