development of sustainable marine activities.

Managing and summarising data and knowledge to be widely accessible by developing or combining tools based on the mainstream standardisation frameworks, sharing and security.

    Halieutic and Biodiversity

    • Halieutical information System (SIH), a long-term national monitoring network for for fish stocks and related practices in place, in Reunion, since 2006
    • Population dynamics and connectivity : large pelagic species (IOSSS Espadon, GERMON and POPSTAR) and coastal resources (DMX, EPICURE, STAVIRO Mayotte and PECHTRAD projects)
    • Marine megafauna : Indian Ocean turtles (DYMITILE, Turtle action plan, TURTLE TAG and pIOT)

    Environment

    • Introduction of the Water Framework Directive in Reunion and Mayotte :
      classification and maps / Specifying the different monitoring programme networks / Situation updates (GOOD CONDITION – GOOD CONDITION II, as well as technical and scientific support in the catchment areas)
    • Benthic habitats map : hyperspectral imaging (SPECTRHABENT-OI and HYSCORES)
    • Hydrodynamic models : modelling platform for Reunion Island (HYDRORUN)
