INOVA was created as a solution to the need to minimize the technological deficit of the Region compared to the rest of the country and even to another European countries and to address the specific characteristics of the small, fragmented and conservative regional business fabric.
Since then, INOVA has sought to fulfil the goal for which it was created, enhancing technological development, technology and innovation transfer, the provision of quality and specialized support services to the regional industry and promoting applied research.
Since its inception, INOVA has established itself as a technological infrastructure of reference in the regional context, with even more importance in the strategy context it is inserted and needed for the development of the business fabric and the Azorean economy.
