Fostering research excellence
As part of the Deputy Directorate-General for Economy and Enterprise, the aim of the DIDN is to participate in the elaboration of public policies for economic development in audiovisual and numeric sector as well as in research and innovation.
Reviewing funding requests for research, technological development and innovation projects eligible for the 2014-2020 ERDF OP.
The DIRED contribute in the development of an ambitious and pro-active policies to support higher education, research programmes and scientific investment. This policy also support innovation and cooperation between research laboratories and private companies and also boost the potential in higher education.
The purpose of SAV scheme is to simplify procedures for entrepreneurs in the start-up phase or company managers with project development. The SAV scheme provides entrepreneur with quicker and easier access to information thus overcoming obstacles to growth.

Duties
As part of the Deputy Directorate-General for Economy and Enterprise, the
aim of the DIDN is to participate in the elaboration of public policies for

Research and innovation services
– Assist and monitor the implementation of the regional innovation strategy
– Lead the innovative thematic committee for the SRDEII (regional scheme for economic, innovation and international development)
– Provide Information to project applicants for the ERDF funding
– Follow-up of innovative project submitted by enterprises and organisations, in line with the Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RDTI) regional office
– Provide technical advise requested by the RDTI
– Follow-up budgets related to funded projects and corresponding institutions
(regional co-funding)
– Monitor research projects, linked to the DIRED and the RDTI
– Participate in the evaluation of public policies for research and innovation

Support services for project promoters
– Information on grant support for research and innovation as part of the 2014-2020
ERDF with assistance from the ERDF support unit
– Information for project applicants on key criteria of the financial instrument (selection criteria, procedures, etc.)
– Launch of procedures namely on call for tenders on sectors and areas mentioned above
